- Lady Antebellum -
It's a quarter after one, I'm a little drunk and I need you now
Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now

Defying Gravity
-Lea Michele and Chris Colfer-
Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes, and leap!
It's time to try
Defying gravity
I think I'll try
Defying gravity
And you can't pull me down!

Then
- Brad Paisley -
I remember, trying not to stare the night that I first met you
You had me mesmerized
And three weeks later, in the front porch light
Taking forty-five minutes to kiss goodnight
I hadn't told you yet
but I thought I loved you then

Everyday
- Rogue Wave -
Everyday it's gettin' closer
Goin' faster than roller coaster
A love like yours will surely come my way

Scary People
Bigots.
Here's the Wikipedia article for it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigotry
Unfortunately, I run into them almost all the time, even among minority groups. Kind of ironic, isn't it? You'd think that the minorities would be more understanding of other minorities, but that is not the case a lot of the time.
The worst kind, though...the one that scares me the most...are those that are closet bigots. They tout themselves as being open-minded and accepting of everyone, but in reality, and in secret, they harbor hatred and grudge towards other races, genders, sexualities.
So you end up being friends with them, they earn your trust, and you think they're on your side. But when push comes to shove, and they have to pick a side, they will side with the bigots in an instant. Unless, of course, you also join them. Then it doesn't really become a problem for you.
But I am a minority through and through, in almost all sense. Figure it out.
So there is almost no way whatsoever that I would ever side with a bigot.
I am trying really hard to gain some sort of understanding of where they're coming from. I understand the difficulty or fear of other minorities or views, because of the large differences in culture, language, values, etc. But I simply cannot understand the hatred, or the simple refusal to even try to see the other side.
People make assumptions so easily, or believe what others say so easily, and stick to these "facts" so easily, that nothing else can change their minds.
How scary is that?!
No, really, think about it.
You don't have to be a minority of any kind to find it scary if you just think about it.
What if someone spreads some sort of false gossip about you, and everyone else around you sticks with it even though you've told them numerous times that nothing is true about this gossip? No one at all. Not one single person believes you.
Is that not scary?
How different is that from bigots who think that African Americans are ALL gangsters and will rob or kill you if they had the chance?
How different is that from bigots who think that ALL homosexuals are pedophiles?
This is a scary world. And I am always wondering how I can ever be myself without inviting some sort of harm upon myself.

The King of Fruits

Durian.
They say you either love it, or hate it.
But truth be told, I miss you...truth be told, I'm...
Oh, sorry, off topic.
But truth be told, I'm actually in between. I don't LOVE it. But I don't HATE it either.
So they lie!
Anyway, I do remember eating only durians for dinner. That was delicious. I also remember the trouble I went through to get the smell out of my fingers afterwards. I don't think I was successful.
If only I can get fresh ones around here...

Haven't Met You Yet
- Michael Buble -
And I know someday that it'll all turn out
You'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And I promise you kid that I'll give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet
And I know that we can be so amazing
And being in your life is gonna change me
And now I can see every single possibility
